Ecuador’s domestic operation is integrated with the network of destinies that the Company offers to the interior of the region and with the international destinies abroad. With this development, LAN reassures it’s commitment to Ecuador, with the compromise to improve the connectivity inside the country and, at the same time, promote the tourism and the national economical development.

LAN Ecuador® operates daily flights on a weekly basis between Guayaquil and Quito, which is one of the densest routes in Latin America, besides its weekly flights to Cuenca from Quito and from Guayaquil. And, in September of 2010, it will also add weekly flights to the Galapagos Islands.

In its first year of operations in the domestic transportation of passengers, LAN Ecuador® mobilized 500 thousand people. The airline holds the highest standards of punctuality in the industry; 90% of the flights depart at the scheduled time and also, have 100% of regularity. Another great benefit to the customers is the incorporation of the best technological resources, allowing 30% of the passengers to electronically check-in without even having to go through the counter.

The arrival of LAN Ecuador® to the domestic Ecuadorian market represents a valuable input to the development of the air transportation of people within the country, due to the fact that it provides the Ecuadorian travelers with the most modern fleet of the region and an excellent service with the highest standards in international safety. In order to set forth this kind of service, LAN Ecuador® owns two Airbus A318 of the latest generation, with a capacity for 126 passengers, with an advanced technology that makes them more efficient in fuel consumption and, in consequence, friendlier to the environment by importantly reducing its CO2 emissions. During 2010, a third Airbus A318 will be added to the domestic Ecuadorian operation.

LAN Ecuador® started its operations in April of 2003, performing only international flights. Nowadays, it flies every single day from Guayaquil and Quito to New York, Miami, Madrid, Santiago, and Buenos Aires.

LAN Ecuador® is aimed to consolidate its national and international routes. The main objective is for a greater number of Ecuadorians to perceive the benefits of air transportation, and for that purpose, we will continue the training of high-level professionals and investing on the technology that eases the traveling experience of the passengers, thus improving the connectivity of Ecuador with the world.
