Description

The MINDALAE museum gets its name from an emblematic figure of the North Andean region: The Mindala or merchant of the ancient indigenous American Continent, who was responsible for establishing trade relations between the four suyus or cardinal pints. The bartering or exchange would take place in the very crowded fairs or TIANGUEZ, which were established in the town squares. We chose this emblematic figure of American trade because we aspire to become a dynamic cultural centre where people can meet and exchange viewpoints and ideas.
