Inaugurated in 1920, the Plaza Belmonte has hosted not only bullfights, but also circuses and theatre performances, masked balls, etc. Its recent renovation forms part of the La Tola neighbourhood urban renewal plan that seeks to provide a setting for cultural, artistic and popular events.
